Gather Uptown Walhalla is a full-serviced but small restaurant. We serve breakfast, lunch & dinner, plus a wide range of espresso & coffee drinks. And a great selection of wines and beers.
Our food is made freshly in our kitchen every day, using raw ingredients (we do not re-heat from bags or food from cans). We use the best foods we can find, staying away from overly processed items. We attempt to purchase as local as possible.
We're located on Main Street, in historic Walhalla, South Carolina. Founded in 1850 by German immigrants, we're committed to doing our part to celebrate Walhalla's heritage and history. Our building is an old rustic structure, empty for several years and built around 1915. It's housed a variety of businesses, including a post office, coffee shop, bakery, Hispanic grocery store, a rock shop and an auto-parts store.
We've left it as rustic as we found it!
Gather Uptown Walhalla is a collaboration between Greg Harris & Amanda Lewis. Greg is a descendent of the German founders, active in Walhalla's downtown and St. John's Lutheran Church. After spending over 30 years away, mostly in England, he returned in 2017. He opened Gather 205, which has now become Gather Uptown. Amanda is a veteran of the restaurant business, recently owning and operating a brunch restaurant, in Highlands, NC.
